I’m a 40 something countryside dweller with a lifelong love of animals I’m never happier than when I’m in the company of animals.

I began writing Molly and Odin’s adventure several years ago and set it aside thinking who was I to write a children’s book? After losing Odin my golden horse with the golden heart in 2018 I found another excuse to set the story aside. however, on beginning a new chapter with my piebald cob Rosie and the arrival of lockdown, it was the perfect time to put pen to paper once again or fingers to keyboard in this case.. Riding is challenging for me with a lack of balance, stiff and painful joints it’s perhaps not the most natural hobby for me to pursue. A wonderful local RDA instructor supported me in my new riding journey with Rosie. At first I was terrified, and if it weren’t for the support of Sarah Lloyd Harris of the RDA, I would have hung up my riding boots. Often, I still am nervous, but you can’t give up, when you’ve written books to encourage others,  created clothing and been featured in Horse and Hound magazine can you! Yes that’s right, every product you buy, like, comment or share you send encourages me to keep riding and persevere with my passion, plodding along country lanes with our trusty foot soldier my dad.

While lockdown was challenging for everyone, it gifted me the time and the gung-Ho attitude to bring our story to life.  In the past it not only seemed a fitting tribute to my soul horse,  but the perfect way to give something back to The Riding for the Disabled Association. I went on to launch my equestrian podcast, which sees me chat all kinds of guests ranging from small businesses, to bona fide Cowboys and Paralympians. Keen to find more ways to keep myself in the western saddle, I’ve created 2 clothing collections which not only donate to charity but also away of me joining in with your adventures.
